The Journey of Pius Muleme
From an Impossible Debt to an IT Degree
In the quiet village of Namayamba, Pius Muleme grew up with his mother and eight siblings. Life was marked by a constant struggle for survival, and the burden of school fees always hung heavy over his family. Though Pius managed to complete his Senior Four exams, he was left with a massive school debt of over one million Ugandan shillings. At that point, the dream of continuing his studies seemed entirely impossible.
Finding Hope Through BLF
When he hit a dead end, hope found its way to him. Through a friend, Kyambadde Samson, Pius was connected to the late Jajja Mukyala, who then introduced him to Dr. Josephine Kyambadde, the CEO of The Balanced Life Family (BLF).
That introduction became the turning point of his life. BLF stepped in and completely changed the trajectory of Pius's future. They cleared his debts and opened new doors for his development. He joined the Mata Soccer Academy, where he honed his athletic skills, and was later enrolled at World Ahead Secondary School. Since 2019, BLF has not only covered his school fees but has also provided him with consistent mentorship, structure, and opportunities to grow as a young leader.
A New Beginning in Tech
What once seemed like the tragic end of his education became a powerful new beginning. Today, Pius is pursuing his Bachelor of Science in Information Technology at St. Lawrence University, building the foundation for a brilliant career in the tech industry.
"To the founders and the entire Balanced Life Family network... You gave me hope when I thought my education was over. Thank you for believing in me and for lifting many young people like me. May God bless you abundantly for the love and support you continue to give."
